Frenkie de Jong opens up about summers transfer rumours

Frenkie de jong opened up before the matches with Netherlands national team for Nations League about the rumours and happenings of last summer.

When asked about Chelsea and Manchester united de Jong told NOS: “I had already decided in May that I wanted to stay. So, I was very calm myself.”

The Dutch said he feels happy at Barcelona and nothing has changed with his teammates. He said: “I now feel welcome at the club. Nothing has ever changed with my teammates.”

The Oranje face Poland this week and de Jong will face his Barca teammate Robert Lewandowski. Frenkie said about Poland’s captain: “He is very positive, brings a lot of energy and is a super good player. We have good defenders, but of course, the best thing is if he doesn’t get any chances to score.”
