Barcelona secured a 4-0 victory away to Cadiz

The game of Cadiz vs Barcelona had to be halted on Saturday evening after a medical emergency in the crowd at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla. Cadiz goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma frantically rushed to the scene and threw a defibrillator into the stands as others rushed to provide help.

The match was then stopped, punctuated by sombre faces from both players and fans, as someone in the crowd received medical attention. After around 20 minutes of delay, the players were led off as the match was postponed.

Following the halt in play for the ill fan, Lewandowski assisted Ansu Fati before Ousmane Dembélé struck from long range to make it a rout. A fourth win in a row in the Spanish league lifted Barcelona to the top of the standings, one point ahead of Real Madrid before the defending champions host Mallorca on Sunday. The first two goals were scored by de Jong and Lewandowski.
